California Community Solar Program
Governor Newsom set California’s clean energy goals at 100% by 2045 and has been the lead state in rooftop solar development in the nation. Community solar programs have been deployed in the state since 2007, and the state continues to pass legislation to modernize and continue expanding the programs. The bill AB2316 gave the California Public Utilities Commission the chance to change and implement new community solar programs in 2023.

The state continues to move forwards towards clean energy goals in 2025.
