‘Twas the Night Before Solar Success

'Twas the night before solar, and all through the town,

Not a fossil fuel was burning, emissions were down;

The meters were prepped by the arrays with care,

In hopes that community solar soon would be there.

Local residents were cozy, asleep in their beds,

While dreams of energy savings danced in their heads;

And I in my sweater, and the team in their caps,

Had just reviewed our plans with detailed maps.

When out on the acres arose such a sight,

Fields of sun-capturing panels gleaming bright.

Away to the window I darted with glee,

Pulled back the shade for more wonders to see.

The moonlit panels on farmland so vast

Reflected efficiency built to last;

When what to my wondering eyes should appear,

But solar arrays and savings so near.

With rows upon rows, steady and sleek,

Solar for all, bringing savings unique.

A cleaner future with needs addressed,

I knew in that moment we’d built the best.

"Now, ACCESS! Now, SAVINGS! For ALL IN THE LAND!

For RENTERS, for OWNERS—this system’s so grand!

To the top of the grid! To the tip of the scale!

Community solar ensures we prevail!"

And as sunshine fuels the energy race,

Community solar uplifts every place;

These fields provide residents a brighter view,

A solution for energy that benefits you.

And then, with a vision both bold and new,

Came the benefits solar now brought into view.

Beyond the low costs, it’s clean for the land,

A shared solar future, so carefully planned.

Regard for the planet, and justice in sight,

This project ensures that we all share the light.

From each household engaged to the land we sustain,

Community solar makes energy humane.

Now when neighbors inquire, you can proudly convey,

With solar, savings are well underway.

"Regardless of income, or credit we see,

With solar solutions, there’s equity!"

The panels ran smoothly, efficiency sound,

Bringing power to everyone gathered around;

And I heard the sun whisper, as clouds took their flight,

"Clean energy for all, and to all a good night."
